The LeedsOmics bioinformatician team provides the bioinformatics data analysis support for the ongoing projects at the University of Leeds.
Elton Vasconcelos (Bioinformatics Research Officer)
Elton is currently a Bioinformatics Research Officer in LeedsOmics. His primary responsibility is to act as bioinformatician for a range of research projects, providing guidance on experimental design, data sampling, analyses, and results interpretation of omics datasets. He has extensive experience in comparative genomics, transcriptomics with emphasis on non-coding elements, and microbiomics. Elton organises the “LeedsOmics Coding Club”, a biweekly meeting series aimed at supporting LeedsOmics community on omics-related coding/computational issues.
