The LeedsOmics bioinformatician team provides the bioinformatics data analysis support for the ongoing projects at the University of Leeds.
Elton is the Senior Bioinformatics Research Officer at LeedsOmics. His primary responsibility is to maintain the day-to-day running of the LeedsOmics Institute and provide the data analysis and training for researchers in terms of Bioinformatics and cutting-edge Omics technologies. Acting as bioinformatician for a range of research projects, Elton provides guidance on experimental design, data sampling, analyses, and results interpretation of omics datasets. He has experience in comparative genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics, translatomics and quantitative proteomics . Elton also organises the “LeedsOmics Coding Club”, a monthly meeting series aimed at supporting LeedsOmics community on omics-related coding/computational issues.
