Stefan is a plant biologist working on the regulation of plant development by the hormone auxin. Projects range from the structural biology of auxin perception to the molecular and genetic basis of root and shoot architectural control. His interest in omics technologies are principally in whole genome resequencing for the identification of causal mutations from forward genetic screens and in single cell/cell-type-specific RNA Seq.
